VAPOR crash on M1 Macbook

Hi,

I’m trying to create a volume renderer for my water vapor data, but every time I tried to click the volume button, VAPOR would crash. Then I tried every kind of renderer to test, it came out that I only can create image renderer without crashing.
At first I thought my 924 MB data is too large, then I cut it to 7.2 MB but the same issue happened. And my memory seems good.
I’m wondering if it is due to my M1 chip or some thing else?

Hi Ziling, could you provide us with the smaller dataset that is causing this issue? Thanks.

Hi Pearse, here is the link Sign in to your account
Thank you so much.

It looks like Vapor is crashing due to the " " character in the “water vapor” variable. I can create new renderers after issuing the following:

ncrename -v "water vapor","waterVapor" 2013082512_411m_qnc2nccf.nc rename.nc

I’ve filed a new issue for this and it should be fixed in our next release.

Thanks! It perfectly solved my problem.
