I used to have version 2.6 and load vdf files. How do I convert all my vdf files into vdc?
I am sure there must be a nice page that explains this but I could not find it

It depends on what format your data was originally in. I was going to post a link to our documentation, but I see now that it’s broken. Thanks for bringing this up.
What format is your data in? WRF? NetCDF?

I think the original data are NetCDF.
Could you provide a sample that we can take a look at?
Just wanted to add that if the original data are not available, you can convert the old vdf data to vdc by making use of vdf2raw to extract a “raw” data volume from the vdf collection, followed by raw2vdc to generate a new VDC data sets. This could be pretty painstaking if you have lots of variables or timesteps, but could be automated with a script. Sorry, I with we had the resources to provide a proper vdf-to-vdc conversion tool.
